🎄☀️ It’s Christmas in July at the Market! ☀️🎄

Who says you have to wait until December for a little holiday magic? This week, we’re bringing festive cheer to the summer season with our 6th annual Christmas in July celebration at the market!

Join us for an afternoon filled with holiday fun, community spirit, and plenty of fresh local flavors. Enjoy festive tunes from DJ Steve, who will be spinning your favorite Christmas classics and holiday hits throughout the market. Keep an eye out for a special visit from Santa himself, ready to greet shoppers of all ages and pose for photos at our beautiful winter-themed photo backdrop.

Be sure to stop by our educational demonstration featuring the Master Gardeners, who will be sharing seasonal gardening tips and answering your gardening questions.

Young market visitors can get creative at our free kids craft station, where they’ll make festive holiday-themed projects to take home.

Whether you’re shopping for farm-fresh produce, supporting local vendors, or simply enjoying a little mid-summer holiday cheer, there’s something for everyone this week. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and make some merry memories together!

This is our 6th year hosting Santa.

Come by to have a mid-year check in and snap a selfie with Santa Claus while he stops by the Billerica Farmers Market during his Summer vacation.

Susan Haas & her team host the Ask-a-Master-Gardener (AAMG) table under the Demo Tent this week and they are ready to answer your toughest questions.

Mini Strawberry Santas

Recipe Sourced from: Allrecipes.com

You can easily make these little strawberry Santas for a Christmas party or last-minute holiday dessert. All you need are strawberries, whipped cream, and some chocolate sprinkles. Your kids will love these yummy treats and can help put them together.

Ingredients

Recipe yields 16 servings

1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles

Directions

Cut the hulled-side strawberries so they can stand up on a plate. Slice the tip off each strawberry to make Santa's "hat"; set aside.
Beat cream and confectioners' sugar in a glass or metal bowl until soft peaks form. Lift your beater or whisk straight up; the whipped cream will form soft mounds.
Spoon a large dollop of whipped cream on top of strawberry base for the "face" and "beard". Set the "hat" atop the "face'". Add a dot of whipped cream, using a toothpick, on top of the "hat" for the "pom-pom" and 2 dots on the strawberry base for "buttons". Place 2 sprinkles on the "face" for "eyes".

The Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) Free Pilot Program is extended thru Sept 30, 2026 for Fixed Bus Routes. (Fares may resume 10/1/2026 Subject to State Funding)
