interview by Stephanie Rizzari How long have they been in business?
I started my business after being laid off due to the pandemic. I have been in business for just about a year now, but I have always had a passion for baking up sweet treats! What got them into starting their business?
I have always had a passion for baking! In high school, I started to take art classes, and I fell in love with creating. I began to put my two passions together and I started to decorate cakes! After graduating from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in baking and pastry arts, I began to work as a pastry chef in multiple restaurants in the area. I worked my way up the ranks to become a restaurant manager. Once Covid-19 hit, I was laid off. During my down time, I began baking again. I used that time to reflect on my career goals, and decided to take the jump! I have always been a hard worker, so I decided "If I am going to work this hard, I want to work this hard for MYSELF!" What was once a hobby, has turned into a full time business for me, and I couldn't be more excited to begin this new journey of entrepreneurship! What is your connection to Billerica?
I have lived in Billerica my WHOLE life! I think we have an amazing community, and I feel so grateful to be a part of it! Any fun facts to share?
I can always be found with a coffee in hand! My favorite dessert is ice cream from Rancatore's. My favorite food is a three way tie between ramen, chicken parm, or tacos. When I'm not in the kitchen, I can be found enjoying the outdoors! How can they be contacted?
